Chex Mix
Ingredients
- 4 cups Corn Chex
- 4 cups Rice Chex
- 4 cups Wheat Chex
- 2 cups mini pretzels
- 2 cups Gardetto’s Special Request Garlic Rye Chips (or bite-sized, garlic-flavor bagel chips)
- 10 tbs unsalted butter
- 3 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 heaping teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
Mise en Place
- Place 4 cups of Corn Chex into a large roasting pan.
- Add 4 cups of Rice Chex to the roasting pan.
- Add 4 cups of Wheat Chex to the roasting pan.
- Add 2 cups of mini pretzels to the roasting pan.
- Add 2 cups of Gardetto’s Special Request Garlic Rye Chips to the roasting pan.
- Mix to combine.
- 3 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 heaping teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 10 tbs unsalted butter
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 250°F.
- Melt 10 tbs of unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Add 3 tbs of Worcestershire sauce to the melted butter.
- Add 2 heaping teaspoons of seasoning salt to the melted butter.
- Add 1 1/4 teaspoons of garlic powder to the melted butter.
- Add 3/4 teaspoon of onion powder to the melted butter.
- Stir the seasoned butter to combine all ingredients.
- Pour half of the butter mixture evenly over the Chex mixture and gently toss to coat.
- Pour the remaining butter mixture evenly over the Chex mixture and gently toss again so all the pieces are evenly coated.
- Place the Chex mix into the oven and bake, tossing every 15 minutes, until lightly browned and crisp, 45 to 50 minutes total.
- Let cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheets before serving.
