Cinnamon Simple Syrup
Ingredients

water

cup
sugar
4
cinnamon sticks
1/2
teaspoon
pure vanilla extract
Instructions
Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Bring to a simmer, stirring the mixture until the sugar has dissolved.
Add 4 cinnamon sticks. Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Remove the syrup from the heat and let the syrup cool and steep for 3 to 6 hours.
Remove the cinnamon sticks and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Pour the syrup into a clean jar and seal with a tight-fitting lid.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
